As our aspiring young homebrewer rides his mountain bike with "fat tires" through European villages famous for beer, New Belgium Brewing Company was but a glimmer in his eye. Or basement.

Over the past decade Fruita locals have created some of the sweetest singletrack in the Western United States. Come visit for yourself and find out what all the buzz is about... Check out our accommodations page to plan your trip, and be sure to stop by Over the Edge Sports and say hi to the folks who built the trails!
2007 was another great year to be in the Grand Valley. We actually got a new trail built last year, something that has been quite hard to come by, the "Free Lunch" is a short connector off of Eagles Wing to the top of the Widow Maker Hill above Holy Cross. It may be short but it is tremendously well laid out and adds a really cool "Free ride ish" segment that can be easily reached by those less willing to exert (although still not a "coaster" shuttle) but it adds a great middle on a Ribbon-FreeLunch-Holy Cross combo... a stunner of a trio! The trail has several opportunities for those who go big but is so well designed that anyone who enjoys technical challenge at all would be remiss in not checking it out and will probably add it to the list of regular favorites.
Keep it Single!
If you haven't heard, Fruita has had its share of battles lately with land management politics. We need you to be educated and respectful of the trails here in Fruita! We've worked for a decade to create these trails and we don't want to lose them due to a few bad apples! So get involved, take responsibility, and keep singletrack single!
